Ticketing start-up offers discounts to event promoters to grow business

Small company with ambitious goal

EZ-TIXX opened its doors and website for business in March 2007 to provide ticketing in small local markets lacking such services. Today, the company has revenue of about $2.5 million and serves regional markets in the Southern U.S. Its goal is to sell tickets and ticketing services for events and venues throughout the U.S. and the world.

Consultants with Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) are doing what they can to help.

Fees seemed higher. But why?

No matter the size of your business, merchant card fees are complicated. They involve a bewildering array of dues, fees, assessments, network charges and mark-ups.

EZ-TIXX, for example, was not aware that the processor had increased the markup rate and added a per-item fee. They only knew their fees seemed higher and called in ERA for advice.

ERA industry experts are adept at deciphering the complexities of merchant card fee contracts and bills. They immediately identified the source of the increases and soon re-negotiated a rollback of rates and elimination of the per-item fee.

Consultants anticipate delivering additional savings through improvements in interchange costs.

In the meantime, EZ-TIXX is using the savings to offer discounts to promoters as a way to grow their business. Watch out world, here they come.

"ERA has been a great asset for us. Consultants helped us understand our spend more fully and applied their industry expertise to ensure we are paying appropriately for the service." - Wayne H. Davis, President of EZ-TIXX
