Manufacturer improves debt structure

Client increased overseas exports

The client is a well-established, family-owned manufacturer of commercial plumbing and foodservice equipment.

Over the past 20 years, the company significantly increased its overseas exports and established facilities on several continents to support its growing global distribution system.

Partially in response to the effects of the current economic climate on its domestic and overseas markets, the client wanted to improve its debt structure. It turned to Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) to help find hidden funds that could be applied to this purpose.

Consultants leverage proprietary pricing data

One of the manufacturer’s largest G&A expenses is shipping. The company had established a way to measure savings offered by each carrier, but this process had become unwieldy, ineffective and time-consuming.

ERA Consultants with freight expertise recommended adjusting about a dozen LTL shipping lanes, switching them from several incumbents to another incumbent that provided the best price and service.

ERA freight experts also used ERA’s proprietary marketing pricing data from other freight projects for similar spend- size companies to leverage pricing.
