Drug Cooperative finds Rx for insurance

Serving community pharmacies

Rochester Drug Cooperative (RDC) is an independently owned wholesale drug cooperative servicing more than 800 community retail pharmacies, long-term care pharmacies and home health care stores in New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

RDC was established in 1905 and has always been owned and directed by local independent pharmacists. RDC has more than 150 stock-holding pharmacies.

Improving coverage and service, reducing costs

Based on a successful savings track record established by Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) with the Rochester Drug Cooperative, Consultants were asked to review the group’s general insurance and workers compensation policies.

Insurance experts with ERA help businesses improve coverage and service while reducing costs. During an insurance review, Consultants consider brokers’ credentials, industry specializations, consulting expertise, claims-payment abilities, insurer relationships, technical capabilities and total quality management systems.

ERA also helps ensure that competitive pricing and coverage improvements for clients can be sustained.

"I consider ERA a business partner that helps us better serve our customers and increases ROI for our shareholders." - Larry Doud, CEO of Rochester Drug Cooperative
