5-Star Club Secures Bottom Line

More Than Costs Are Involved

The Washington Athletic Club (WAC) in downtown Seattle is a premier athletic club and hospitality organization offering state of the art fitness facilities, lodging, dining along with banquet facilities, day spa and wellness services. WAC places a premium on providing their members and guests with excellence in everything it does. So when the club approached ERA to evaluate their security services, high quality was top- of-mind.

As is often the case with clients of ERA, more than price is taken into account when reviewing expense categories. ERA always considers factors such as quality, service, history and more for every cost reduction recommendation it makes.

In the category of security services, ERA specialists made recommendations to the WAC that lowered operating costs while at the same time improving quality, service and communications for WAC members and guests. WAC’s new security officers now provide a friendly, customer service approach while performing their professional duties.

How It's Done

In addition to requesting pricing proposals in its thorough and detailed RFP, ERA asked each firm to also provide information that included firm history, current clients, quality, benefit programs, service levels, and insurance coverage.

As a part of this process, ERA specialists held discussions with representatives from each firm to ensure they understood the requirements and to solicit additional ideas that would benefit the WAC, its members and its guests. The thoroughness of this work resulted in meaningful recommendations to the WAC.

"Frankly, we were most excited with ERA's attention to detail in improving our member experience. The savings they found were a big bonus. Now that's great service." - William Cohen, Vice President of Operations, The Washington Athletic Club
