School cuts cleaning costs 20%

Private School's priorities cove more than cost

Our private school client was clear that quality of cleaning was its #1 priority. With children on the premises, security concerns also topped the list. Flexibility, too, was critical to the changing needs of this busy school.

Consultants from Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) issued a detailed RFQ to local suppliers and national firms on behalf of the school. ERA also scheduled physical inspections. By touring the campus, companies could fully appreciate the client’s requirements.

With new suppliers offering savings of up to 33% to provide the same level of cleaning, ERA arranged interviews with the “short listed” suppliers to allow the client to better understand the available options.

Client selects the solution from ERA options

The school decided to retain its incumbent supplier and forego potentially larger savings from a new vendor. Nonetheless, the current provider lowered its rates.

The lesson: ERA provides a number of options, but the client chooses the solution that best fits its unique needs
