Robert D. Sacks is part of the Capital Area team of Expense Reduction Analyst in the MD/DC/NoVA region. Robert has over 35 years of experience helping governments, unions and private corporations and their employees, providing his expertise in analyzing employee benefits with special emphasis on health care expenses.

As CEO and founder of Dental Health Maintenance Organization in Washington, D.C. and Denta-Chek of Maryland, a domestic Maryland health insurance company, he brought down the cost of dental plans for companies, government and corporation employees with double digit savings percentages not uncommon. In addition, Bob has owned and operated an insurance brokerage as well as a Third Party Administrator company, serving clients across numerous parts of the U.S. by reducing the cost of health insurance benefits for employers and employees. Bob has successfully reduced clients costs, by in some cases, millions of dollars over the years, even for organizations with as few as eight employees, as well as large organizations with thousands of employees.

Bob’s work experience includes roles as a featured speaker at national employee benefit forums, as well as an Expert Witness in arbitration proceedings related to health insurance for lawyers representing plaintiffs in governmental plans or insurance company disputes. As a member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, he advises board members and the families of patients suffering from the rare genetic disease syndrome known as Fanconi Anemia which took the life of his daughter.

Since 1970, Bob’s employee benefits consulting business, Robert D. Sacks Associates, has consulted for counties, municipalities and public employee unions throughout the USA. He has performed such services for one union with more than 3 million members for more than 35 years.
