Vosges Haut-Chocolat produces gourmet chocolate confections from its 100% wind-powered factory in Chicago. It sells its products in corporate-owned “Purple House” boutiques in Chicago, New York City and Las Vegas; in high-end department and grocery stores; and on the Vosges Haut-Chocolat website.
The business is expanding rapidly, with a three-year growth rate estimated at nearly 40%, and takes great pride in being “green.” For example, several of the company‟s retail outlets are powered by renewable energy and the company‟s packaging materials contain at least 60% post-consumer content. Both the growth and green factors were in the mix when Vosges Haut-Chocolat decided to work with Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA).
