Chemical manufacturer cuts costs 23%

Deliveries to the Southern US, Central and South America and the Caribbean Basin

Allied Universal Corporation provides bleach, chlorine and other chemicals to control algae in swimming pools and disinfect drinking water. The company has seven domestic plants and two overseas facilities.

The company spends a significant amount of money to deliver contracts and other administrative paperwork between its headquarters office in Florida and its domestic plants in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Arkansas. Allied Universal Corporation also uses small package freight for deliveries to customers and company facilities in Central and South America and the Caribbean Basin.

Industry experts with Expense Reduction Analysts (ERA) evaluated Allieds existing contract and assessed the clients satisfaction with its current provider. Based on a combination of good pricing and proven performance, Consultants recommended Allied Universal continue to use its incumbent supplier.

 Web-based solution improves existing service

ERA secured better pricing and the vendor improved its service with a web-based software system that tracked delivery of domestic and international packages.

For merchant card fees, Consultants recommended switching vendors. A new arrangement with a national service provider offered an improved fee structure.

Our willingness to have Consultants evaluate other cost categories is due to our confidence in the results they have already delivered.
